The project consisted of designing a full backup diesel generator system for both the Wheatland and Buena Vista ferries in Marion Country so that the ferries can cross the Willamette River during power outages. The generator backup systems were required to integrate into the existing ferry electrical systems and be able to operate outside of the flood plains. Fluent designed a robust system, with redundancy to accommodate a trailered generator should the one on-site fails.
